ABOUT MICHELLE

michelle moraczewski image.webp

Michelle Moraczewski is passionate about Texas. Her two novels, Headwaters and The Forgotten Tribe are set on the banks of the Nueces river on the Edwards plateau in Texas. Native Americans feature prominently in the tale. The dystopian flavor of the story tie into her earlier forays into communes like the Farm in Tennessee. Her time in Austin and California with Architects in the green movement made her knowledgeable in the essentials of off-the-grid living. With years juggling her art, architecture, and writing careers The Ranch was a long time coming. To date she has published 7 works.

The novel, Headwaters, which refers to the 1000 springs of the Nueces, woven from the cloth of magical realism and imagination is inspired by a true story.

Although born in Chicago, Texas always feels like home. She now lives full time on a farm with three dark horses and a herd of wild deer and the wonderful painter, Jim Poag.
